FACILITIES
|
One of the most important things needed in the training of a quality retriever is a quality facility. One that keeps your pet safe and comfortable, along with having the necessary training areas to teach and gain experience. During your dog's stay here, he will experience duck camp life on a daily basis--with guns, boats, four-wheelers, and live birds--all part of the daily routine. |

We have designed and developed 50 acres for the sole purpose of training retrievers--our technical pond was designed with areas to teach our younger students, while also being able to challenge our advanced students. We can virtually show them something different every day. |

Our yard area where most obedience, initial marking skills, T patterns, and lining drills are done, provides a distraction-free learning area where it's just me, the dog, and the lesson at hand. As skills increase, we move to the field area with varying degrees of cover to further teach and challenge our students.

Our equipment list has become quite extensive with only quality products being used in the training of your retriever. Young dogs first experience marks with the Maxx 5000 before moving to real birds launched from remote throwers made by Zinger Winger. Electronics are by Tri-tronics, and when transporting your dog to different training areas or hunt tests, they are kept safe and secure in our stainless dog truck, custom made by the good folks at Deerskin. |
